Here we go then… the clocks ticking down on what has been, for better or worse, a truly memorable year.
Time is racing by and most of us can’t wait to turn the page on this tumultuous 2020. To get some distance from it. To catch our collective breath, pause and contemplate all aspects of it, both the positive and the negative. To process and then to move on, with focus and a definitive plan for positive action.
We really hope that you’re all doing well. That you’ve recognized and owned your strengths and leant into whatever life has thrown your way. We hope that despite a bumpy ride, you’ve not only held on but are owning and expressing your very best self. That maybe, in amongst the crazy, you’ve discovered a hidden well of strength, or a self respecting sense of resourcefulness.
This method, though daunting and intimidating at times, seems to me a pragmatic modus operandi in dealing with the waves of discontent, the anxiety we’ve all been party to in 2020. It may not have been a comfortable year but it’s indeed been a revelatory one and when we face the fear in what we do, that very action does provide a feeling of being alive, exhilarated and in and of the moment.
As we sign off for the year with our latest Mr Feelgood, both Pete and I want to thank you for all your support, your well wishes, and for the letters we’ve received weekly from people all over the world. We want to thank all our contributors, the subjects who’ve been generous with their time and candid and open in sharing their stories. Thank you! Whenever we have come up against obstacles, we have gotten through because of relationships, trust and a mutual desire to produce something of value and integrity.
Thank you also to those individuals, those dear friends and loved ones with masses of experience, for being so supportive and instructive in sharing their hard-earned knowledge. For generously playing it forward without hesitation. Always grateful to you.
And so it’s time to put down the tools for a little while, have some laughs, maybe hibernate, clean the windows again and rest. Very important to rest.
2021 is almost here and our wish is that we can ALL move forward with purpose, passion, energy and conscience. That we can endeavor to build a better world for all, inclusive, diverse, empathetic and fun! That we can continue to help others step up and engage in learning and sharing and supporting one another.
Thanks for being part of our Mr Feelgood community. Better days ahead.
Always with love.
